Accomplished Senior Finance Professional with comprehensive, and transformation experience in, Banking & Financial Services, Telecommunication, and Publishing industries.

Rumana Khandaker is an accomplished Senior Finance Professional, 15+ years’ comprehensive and transformation experience working in large corporations like RBC Bank, Sun Life Financials, CIBC Bank, Rogers Communications Inc., Nelson Thomson Publishing and Aviva Insurance. Rumana completed an MBA in 2020 with 4.0 GPA and an Honors Bachelor of Commerce in 2018 major in Accounting and Finance from Laurentian University and currently she is a CPA Candidate, PEP Level student.

Rumana has extensive experience in full cycle of accounting, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Journal entry, Month-end close, Financial Accounting, Taxation – T1 (Personal Tax), T2 (Corporate Tax), and T3 Trust Income Tax, Forecasting/Budgeting/Planning analysis, Management Reporting to Senior Leaders or Stakeholders to provide relevant financial information to make the right decisions. Rumana is highly proficient at using QuickBooks, Tax software, Oracle/EPM/People Soft/SAP ERP systems, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SQL, Tableau Dashboard/Power BI (Data Analytics), SharePoint, and SAP. She has strong interpersonal, collaborator, leadership, communication, organizational and time management skills that have helped to build relationships and manage deadlines.

Rumana was born in Bangladesh and moved to Canada when she was only 18 years old. She lives in Markham with her husband and children. Rumana completed Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon in 2008 and 2012 to support Sick Kids Hospital. She also did volunteer work at Markham Stouffville Hospital as a Patient Care Assistant for many years. She enjoys travelling, hiking, listening to music, and spending time with her friends and family.
